The Minister of Women and Social Development, Hajiya Zainab Maina has commissioned the Kano Reformatory Institute at Kiru local government area.

Hajiya Maina said the  centre will reform and train drug addicts and other deviant youths.

She said drug addiction is a disease that can be cured by putting the addict in  specialized centers.

In his remarks, Kano state  Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso said the centre was established during his first tenure but abandoned by the previous administration.
