As the nationwide strike and mass protest by labour and civil society organizations enters the third day,  thousands of people have joined the rally in Kano metropolis.

Correspondent Abdullateef Abubakar Jos reports that activists, women, and the physically challenged have converged at the Labour secretariat and are marching towards Mambayya House at Gwammaja area.

At Mambayya House, the protesters are scheduled to pray at the grave of late NEPU/PRP leader Malam Aminu Kano before proceeding to Federal Secretariat.

He reports that the rally is being conducted peacefully with massive security presence.

On his part, correspondent Mahmud Ibrahim Kwari who visited Zaria Road, Zoo Road and Maiduguri Roads among other areas reports huge number of people trooping to join the labour organized rally.

However, a large number of security men were seen at the roads linking to Kano state government house to forestall the repeat of Monday’s unfortunate incident.
