There have been multiple bomb explosions in Kano, Nigeria this evening leading to the deaths of many people.

Correspondent Nasiru Salisu Zango reports that the office of Police Assistant Inspector General was razed by the bomb.

Several people have been injured while an unspecified number of people died.

From the passport office of the Nigerian Immigration Office at Farmcenter, an eyewitness Sulaiman Abdulkarim told Freedom that the gunmen killed two securitymen at the gate before throwing an explosive device into the compound.

He said the ten assailants came on three motorcycles and a 406 Peugeot car.

At ‘Yar Akwa Police station along Zaria Road, correspondent Maryam Muhammad reports that six gunmen razed the station and freed all detainees.

The police returned fire before they were overpowered by the attackers.

There have also been attaks at the Police Headquarters Bompai, the SSS headquarters, Sardauna Crescent and other police stations in Kano.
