Electricity To Improve In 3years

Minister of Power, Prof. Bart Nnaji, said the Power Sector in Nigeria would improve greatly in the next three years with the government's attention to the sector.

The statement, issued by Head of Media and Public Relation Unit of the Ministry of Power, Mr Greyne Anosike said the minister made the statement in Abuja when he received the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Ali Rifat Koksal.


He said the ministry had set out rules for the sector and urged the Turkish team to find out areas of comparative advantage to invest.

According to the minister, General Electric of the United States has set the ball rolling by its readiness to construct 10,000MW of Electric Power Plant in Nigeria.

The Chairman of Nata Group of Companies, Mr. Namik Tanik, told Minister that Turkey was known in Mall construction, Wind Power, Petrochemicals, Refineries and Railway construction.
