Opposition parties have rejected the result of Sokoto state gubernatorial election, which returned Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of the Peoples Democratic Party as winner.
The Independent National Electoral Commisson had announced the ANPP candidate Alhaji Yusha’u Ahmed as the runner-up
However, Alhaji Yusha’u Ahmed alleged that the election was flawed.
He called on the electoral commission to conduct fresh elections and ensure that it is free and fair.
On his part, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko said he is not concerned with any challenges to his electoral victory.
