Consumer Protection Council urges price cuts

The consumer right protection council has urged Traders Association of Nigeria to help in bringing down the high prices of goods in the country.

Director General of the Council ,Mrs Lfy Umuenyi made the appeal when she met with some Executive committee members of the Traders Association of Nigeria in Abuja.


She decried the high rate of prices of goods and transportation fares in the country and called on marketers to

reduce the prices in the interest of the country

Mrs Umuenyi said from a survey carried out it was discovered  that there was a 39 percent increase in the prices of goods in the markets.

The director General  also condemned the increased rate of adulterated  goods in the markets,pointing out the consumers had been deprived the worth of their money
