FRSC:Inaugurates new commercial driver's license

The statement urged applicants for the “E Class” licence to

attend certified driving schools and undergo the required

medical tests at government hospitals in order to obtain the

document.

``The temporary driver’s licence will last for 60 days to allow for

verification of owner’s data before the production of a permanent

driver’s licence for three-year duration,'' it said.

The statement added that the document could be processed at the

FRSC’s operational driver’s licence centres in all states and the FCT.

Meanwhile, the FRSC has urged motorists yet-to-migrate from the old

to new number plate to do so on or before Oct. 1, 2013, adding that

“all old number plates and drivers’ licence will cease to be valid’’ on

that date.
