KNSG launches 37 microfinance banks

He said the establishment of the bank will create over 750 direct employment opportunities in the state.

The governor noted that the 37 micro finance banks will compliment already 7 micro finance banks in the state to enhance growth of small and medium enterprises.

In a remark,Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria,Malam Sunusi Lamido Sunusi said the establishment of micro finance bank was aimed at poverty eradication and cultivation of saving culture.

Correspondent Abass Yushau Yusuf reports that Sunusi Lamido Sunusi added that Kano state was the first state granted license for the establishment of 37 micro finance bank at once.
