Accident claims 10 lives,injure 20 others

An assistant Director and spokesman of the service Alhaji Kassim Musa, the spokesman of

the told Freedom Radio that the accident involved a Toyota bus and J5 bus which caught

fire and burnt some of the occupants on Saturday.

He said that the vehicles collided and burst into flames.

Musa said that the accident was the second in two weeks where 10 people had died on the

same road.

He said that the firemen were called to the rescue around 11:35 a.m. by villagers, adding

that the road had witnessed several fatal accidents over time.

``We have observed that the road has become a terrible place where accidents always

happened, said Musa.”

He noted that the drivers on that route are very reckless.

Nadabo said that the victims were taken to Sekoni Specialist Hospital, Dutse, Jigawa State.

He attributed the fire incident to the fuel that the bus driver bought few kilometres from the scene of the accident.
