JTF arrests 4 suspects,recovers arms in Kano

The statement said items recovered include six AK-47 riffles, 1 sub-machine gun, pump action riffle and one PPK Pistol. Others are 289 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, 15 hand held Improvised Explosive Devices, eleven bags of fertilizer and two hundred empty containers of can drinks.
It decried the attitude of some landlords that give accommodations to mot of the criminal suspects in areas such as Panshekara, Ja’en, Mariri, Farawa, Sharada and Hotoro.
The statement urged Kano residents not to panic with high presence of its operatives and check-points in the metropolis, which is to forestall any security breach during and after the Easter Holiday.
The military joint task force on Thursday arrested four criminal suspects and recovered arms and ammunition in a raid carried out at Gaida Ajawa by Kano Western Bye-pass.
A statement signed by the JTF spokesman captain Ikedichi Iweha said the taskforce also arrested an improvised explosives device manufacturer at farm centre area in the metropolis.
