Kano State Hospital Management Board has decried the attitude of some female health workers for rejecting their posting to rural areas.
Executive Secretary of the board, Dr. Suleiman Wali Sani lamented this when the receiving reports of the committee set-up to review health workers posting in Kano.
A press statement signed by public relations officer of the board, Sani Surajo Abubakar said workers’ posting irrespective of areas is a normal administrative procedure for effective service delivery.
The statement thereby urged religious leaders and media to ensure public enlightenment on the relevance of female health workers in the rural areas.
