The Chief Imam of Umar bn Khattab mosque in Kano metropolis has urged Muslims to protect women's rights.

Sheikh Na'ibi Sulaiman Wali made the call while delivering the Eid-el-Adha sermon Sunday morning.

He said Islam protects women's rights more than the contemporary declarations by the United Nations.

The Chief Imam also calls on the wealthy to always help the needy.
