The Dangote Foundation has donated N660 million to the poverty alleviation program of the Kano state Community Reorientation Committee, CRC.

Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Aliko Dangote made the donation Friday evening at the presentation of cheques to the interim management officers of the 44 local governments of Kano state.

He said N440 million will be distributed to one thousand women from each local government in Kano while N160 million will go to the mechanized farming program.

In his speech, Kano state governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso commended the Dangote foundation for the assistance and advised members of the CRC to justify the confidence reposed on them.

Government House correspondent, Auwal Sani Toro reports that the governor distributed N5-million cheques to the interim management officers of the 44 local governments of the state.
