The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) has appealed the verdict of Kano state gubernatorial elections tribunal, which confirmed incumbent Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the Peoples Democratic Pary (PDP) as the duly elected governor of Kano state.
Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Sani Hashim Hotoro told journalists in Kano that the party is challenging the decision delivered on November 1, 2011 at the appeal court in Kaduna.
He contends that the pary still believe that its candidate Salihu Sagiru Takai was the real winner of the April 26 gubernatorial election.
He said the decision to appeal follows consultations with all party organs and stakeholders.
He called on all party members, supporters and well-wishers to remain law-abiding and faithful to the party.
