Plateau state workers are striking over the government’s inability to pay minimum wage of N18,000.

Workers in Plateau state have begun an indefinite strike over the inability of the State Government to start paying the N18,000 minimum wage.

Reports say all offices were under lock and key as directed by the state chapter of the Nigeria Labor Congress, while labour leaders went round to ensure compliance.
Chairman of the Labor Congress in Plateau state Mr. Jibrin Bancir said the first day of the strike was successful as all government workers are participating.
